The Elevator Variation
Effect: The magician shows the first card on top of a shuffled deck. By showing it, the magician bend the card as a mark. The magician then puts the card anywhere in the deck. Then with the index of his right hand he points the bottom of the deck going up slowly. When he gets to the top of the deck, the bended card jumps out of the deck. (A very good variation for the Elevator trick).
Even if considered as a Hard trick, the trick is very easy. You will need to master a double lift
Shuffle the deck good. Old the deck in your left hand. Then, with the right hand, do a (Double Lift) to get the first two cards of the deck. Make sure that the spectators only sees the second card face. Show the face of the (second) card by olding the cards to the spectators. Then bend the cards in two, then release, it makes a small curve in the card and will be use as a mark for the spectators. Then put back the two cards on top of the deck that you are still olding in your left hand. Make sure to hold down the two cards on the deck by placing the thumb and the middle finger of your left hand on the the middle of the cards. Then pull off the top card with your right hand showing that it is still the bended card that they saw earlier. DO NOT SHOW THE FACE OF THE CARD. Put the card anywhere in the deck.
Then the beauty of the trick.
With the index of your right hand point the bottom of the deck going up slowly, as if you are pushing the card to the top. When you arrives to the top of the deck release the top card (the choosen one) by lightly releasing the thumb and the middle finger of your left hand. DO NOT MAKE BIG MOVEMENTS WHEN DOING SO.
Here you go, a nice effect for an elevator trick. Also, don't repeat this trick with the same audience. It's a very easy trick to discover, but when showed once the effects showed look to great to be that easy.
Don't let examine! But if you kind of having no choice. Secretly, bend backwords the entire deck to bend back the second bended card in the deck.
