First you go through the deck and pull out three red cards and three black cards. Place all three red cards under all three black cards. Hold the stack of cards face-up in the palm of your hand with your fingers wrapping around the edge. Turn your cards face down and keeping the bottom card face down pull it out from the bottom. Once you are done with that you take the first card in front of all the others from the black pile which should be black, and place it down in front of both piles and say "Black". You then alternate and take a card from the other pile saying "Red", and so on overlapping them. If you started with the black pile you can now flip over the first three cards which should all be black and than the next three which should all be red!
