Suits Me Fine

Pre-arrangement: Prepare a deck with one suit - leaving out the picture cards, in a pre-arranged order from ace to ten on the bottom of the deck.
The effect of the trick: A chosen card is revealed in a very novel way.

Spread the cards in your hands and ask your volunteer to choose one, making sure he picks one from outside the pre-arranged ace to ten stack.

Have him look at it and put it back on top of the deck which you then proceed to square up. Cut the pac
, bringing the pre-arranged cards directly on top of the chosen card then hand the deck to your volunteer and ask him to turn it face-up and to to cut it.

If the card cut isn't to one of the suit you chose for your pre-arranged stack, then he should keep cutting the pack until one shows - it shouldn't take long for when you made the initial cut to put the chosen card in the middle, the pre-arranged stack was moved to the middle of the pack.

When he has cut to one of your suit, simply take the other half of the pack, turn it over (face down) and deal off the number of cards corresponding to the value of the card which has just been revealed. When you reach the number, turn that card over and it will be card which the volunteer selected with a free choice earlier!
