The Three Inseparable Cards.
The magician takes the shuffled deck and carefully and thoughtfully removes three cards of the same value (say Sevens) and places these before his small audience. As he does so he suggests the possibility of three cards being able to pass through other cards in order to be re-united.
The magician picks up the three cards and offers them for a volunteer to hold (face down).
The magician now deals one card (face down) slowly (from the top of the deck) and asks the vol
The magician repeats this action twice more - each time the volunteer places one of his cards on top of the indifferent card.
Position check: On the table there is now a small packet of cards - three indifferent cards sandwiched by three Sevens.
The magician now openly picks up the packet of six cards and places them on the top of the deck. He asks the volunteer to listen carefully as he explains what just happened. He explains about the sandwiching of the three indifferent cards with the three Sevens.
"OK ?" asks the magician.
After the volunteer replies in the affirmative the magician riffles the end of the deck, then quickly deals the top three cards face up onto the table......
The cards are all Sevens !!!

Modus Operandi.
Before commencing the magician fans through the face up deck and 'spots' the third card from the top of the deck.
Whatever the value of this card remove the other three cards of the same value, leaving the third card in position.
This trick is self working, simply follow my performance notes as set out above.
Further notes.. If the 'third' card is a Red card then be sure that the first card you place on the table is the other Red card - doing this will ensure that a card of the same colour will be exchanged for the other, ie Red for Red, Black for Black.
Also, after the 'finish' casually shuffle the deck to reposition the fourth card to finish 'clean'.
