# Second Chance

Effect: Spectator Shuffles, Cuts Picks a card, and you find it with out looking at it! The Description is long, but it's a great trick!

Card Trick:

First off, give a deck of cards to whom ever you will be presenting the trick to. Tell them to shuffle and make sure the deck is not "Fixed". Then, take the cards, and perform a Riffle Shuffle. This is the key part: As you complete the shuffle, make sure you see the what card hit the top! (We'll say it's a 2 of Hearts) This takes a quick eye, so practice that part a few time before showing the trick around.

Next, ask the spectator to cut. Place the two piles next to each other and keep in mind which was the top half. Tell the spectator that he/she could have cut anywhere, and that you haven't seen any of the cards. Then, ask him/her to pick a pile. If they pick the top pile, tell them to take the top card, and remember it well. If they pick the bottom pile, take it away, and have them pick the top card from the top stack. That card is the 2 of Heart! Combine the two piles and ask the person to place his/her card somewhere in the stack. Now this is where the fun is. Have the spectator Shuffle again! This will throw them off big time! Take the cards and fan them out so that you and your spectator can see them. Tell them you want to make sure you STILL haven't fixed the cards, and ask if there card remains in the pile.. Now, what you do is notice the position of the 2 of Hearts, and quickly fix the cards into one solid deck/pile.

Using your best judgment, cut where you believe the 2 of Hearts is. If you did a good job, the the card should be no more then five cards from the bottom. To your self, fan the cards and put the 2 of hearts 1 before the bottom. Ask "Top or Bottom". No matter what they say, take the bottom card, and place it face up on top of the deck (This is not there card). Ask: "Is this your card?". When they answer no, ask for "a second chance." Next, simply rotate the deck so the bottom card shows and re-ask the question. Now watch as there mouth drops and listen to that sweet word: Yes.
